Wyatt’s Shark & Fish

Untitled ©Wyatt Edwards

Wyatt’s father, @The_Big_Quiet, tweeted his artwork, and we were smitten. As of 2018, Longridge Review will still keep our summers free from essay submissions, but take the hazy lazy days to share some special artwork from the kid set. Remembering and connecting to our younger selves is a huge reason why we do what we do.

Q: Wyatt, how old are you?

Q: Does your painting have a title? How would you describe your painting?

It doesn’t have a title. I don’t know how to describe it. It was inspired by a book called World Without Fish. [Written by Mark Kurlansky and illustrated by Frank Stockton]

Q: What’s your favorite part of this piece?

The shark!

Q: Anything you’d like to tell other kids who want to express themselves with art?

Always keep drawing animals and other things.

Q: If you could tell grown ups one important thing about what it’s like to be kid, what would you tell them?

Kids can be artists too!
